Acquiring An Antminer S19 Pro

You can skip this step if you already own an Antminer s19 Pro. If not, you can buy one from Amazon, eBay, or Alibaba. Through a third-party website, buying the Antminer with cryptocurrency is significantly more affordable. Avoid listings that are fraudulent.

Before buying your s19 Pro, there are a few things to think about. Each machine runs 3250 Watts. Understanding the output voltage is crucial. If the machine has an output of 110 volts, you can use 2 Common computer power cables. If the machine has an output of 220 volts, you will need 2 Power cables from NEMA 6-15P to C13.

It’s crucial to confirm that your wall outlet and circuit breaker can handle 110 volts or 220 volts. If you’re unsure, speak with your electrician.

S19 Pro Server Overview

In the event of any damage, please place your goods according to the layout above.

The equipment needs to be connected to an earthed main socket outlet. The socket outlet must be installed close to the machinery and be simple to use.

Only by simultaneously connecting the two power supply sockets on the equipment’s two power inputs will it be able to function. Make sure to turn off all power inputs before turning off the equipment.

DO NOT remove any cables or screws that are fastened to the product.

DO NOT PRESS the metal cover button.

Set Up a New S19 Pro

You must inspect the new miner and be aware of the appropriate safety measures before using a new S19 Pro. The procedures for configuring your new S19 Pro are listed below.

1. before Using

  • Inspect the new miner

1. Once you receive your miner package, visually examine the box. Hunt for indications of damage. Before opening the package and inspecting the miner, take pictures of the condition of the package if it is damaged. Make a quick call to customer support if the miner is also damaged.

2. Check the miner for cosmetic blemishes. Examine the miner’s corners and look for dents and cracks. Watch out for damaged cables and fan blades. Please get in touch with customer support right away if you found any damage or defects.

3. Check the heat sinks for the miner. Checking for any loose heat sinks from the front and back fans of the miner. If you discover any loose heat sinks, get in touch with customer support right away.

  • Know the precautions for the use

1) PoE is not supported.

2) The use of a router or switch only supports Ethernet network connections.

3) Use the miner in a climate with temperatures between -5 and +35 °C.

4) Keep the miner’s surrounding humidity below 65%

5) To avoid corrosion and/or heat buildup, keep the miner clean and free of catkins.

6) Chrome and Firefox are the supported browsers.

7) It is necessary to plug in the power connector and PSU cord firmly.

2. Installation

The first step is to connect a PSU (Power Supply Unit) to your Use specialized PSUs, such as those designed for servers or just for Bitcoin mining, such as S19 Pro. Connect all of your power supply’s power cables to the power headers on the top side of the miner. The controller only needs one cable, and the other two are for the hash boards.

Next, connect an Ethernet cable to your miner and the other end to a router or switch device. The miner will start up after you turn on your PSU.

Go on a computer or mobile device that is part of the same network as the miner next. You will need to enter in the miner’s IP address. Since most miners now come with DHCP enabled you do not have to manually set the IP address, you just need to look at the IP table on your router or use a scanning tool. Click the IP Report button (above) on the controller board. You should be able to find it by holding it down until it beeps (which should take about 5 seconds).

You can look up the IP address of every device on your network using a scanning tool like AngryIP.

After getting your miner’s IP address, you are ready for Configuration.

3. Setting Up the Server

To set up the server

Microsoft Windows is the only operating system that can open the file

  1. Download from here and run the software.
  2. Extract the file. The DHCP network protocol, which is the standard, automatically distributes IP addresses.
  3. Right-click”IPReporter.exe” and run it as Administrator.
  4. Select one of the following options:
    • Farm servers can be marked with the appropriate symbols: shelf, step, and position.
    • Standard; appropriate for personal servers.
  5. Click “Start“.
  6. Click the IP Report button on the controller board. Hold it down for about five seconds, or until it beeps.
On the screen of your computer, a window containing the IP address will be visible.
  7. Put the given IP address into your web browser.
  8. Continue by entering the root’s username and password.
  9. A Static IP address can be given (optionally) in the Protocol section.
  10. The subnet mask, DNS server, gateway, and IP address must all be entered.
  11. Click “Save“.
  12. Click here to learn more about gateway and DNS Server.

4. Configuring the Server

Setting Up the Pool

To configure the server:

  1. click “Setting” marked below.

  • Although the fan speed percentage can be changed, we advise leaving it at the default value. If the fan speed percentage hasn’t been chosen yet, the server will change the fan speed automatically.
  • The 19 series server has two operational modes: Normal mode and Sleep mode. If the control board is powered but the hashboards are not, then the server goes into sleep mode.

2.Configure miner’s pool settings

Click the “Miner Configuration” tab to set up the mining pools. Enter the miner’s name and the URL for the mining pool (under Worker).

Then click “Save” to connect to the mining pools.

*Note: Antpool is being used in this article. Use different mining pools if you wish.

Antminer S19 Pro Maintenance & Troubleshooting

For those new to using Antminer machines, understand that they are very noisy and give off a lot of heat. Your Antminer equipment should be placed in a room with good ventilation.

To keep the machine(s) operational for long periods of time, make sure you keep them dust-free and the room very cool. To avoid overheating of the machines, the room should be as cold as possible. To remove dust accumulation, use an effective air duster. This is very crucial.

You can direct the heat into the house in the winter by installing aluminum ducts over the vents. A nice area of your home or workplace can easily become warm thanks to these devices. Purchase a High Temp Fan Duct and 4″ Flexible Aluminum Ducting to direct hot air; this is optional.

It is advised to use a standard breaker just for the person using the 110-volt appliance. 220-volt machines will require For NEMA 6-15P to C13 power cords to function properly, a double bracketed breaker is required.

Turning the Antminer S19 Pro on and Off

Each machine does not have an On or Off switch. If you need to restart your miner, log into the device, then click on the blue “Restart the miner” button. This button is situated in the bottom right corner of the display.

Simply flip the breaker off or unplug the cables from the machine to turn it off. Avoid unplugging the device from the wall socket because sparks could start a fire or damage the device.
